Jan is the firm’s Senior Research and Appellate Paralegal. Jan has a strong educational background having attended and graduated from the Colorado Christian University and the Denver Paralegal Institute. Having worked in Colorado Springs for a prominent Workman’s Compensation firm since 1987, then having worked on a contract basis for multiple attorneys in the area over the past 6 years, Jan was an intelligent addition to the legal team here at Clawson & Clawson, LLP. Jan’s expertise in the area of legal research and appellate writing places the firm a cut above in legal excellence. She researches issues for all areas of law for the firm and drafts complicated pleadings and briefs. With the laws ever-changing, it is critical for the firm to be a step ahead in all areas in which the firm is engaged, including Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability, Criminal law, Personal Injury and Family Law. Jan’s keen ability to interpret opinions and apply the law to each case enables her to provide the firm with the power to shape legal strategy. Jan’s contributions to the legal field over the past 30 years have actually helped to change Colorado law.
