Case Notes: Custody Modification for Relocation

Posted By Matthew Clawson || 24-Apr-2014

Mother and Father live in Colorado Springs. Both the mother and father were employed in Colorado Springs. Mother filed a motion to relocate the minor children to another state to be closer to her family and for employment reasons. Father objected to the move.

The matter went to trial in front of the El Paso County District Court Judge. The court denied mother's request to relocate the minor children. The Court further ordered that Mother pay spousal maintenance, part of Father's attorney's fees, and awarded the marital residence to the Father. Father was very pleased with the results the Colorado Springs divorce attorneys at law firm of Clawson & Clawson LLP, and their sense of experience in handling relocation cases.
